With the guidance of detailed, carefully written step-by-step instructions, you will get a good sense of the whole process of mushroom cultivation and gain invaluable first-hand experience. As your mushrooms grow, so may your love of all things fungi. This kit is meant to be a perfect first step on what will hopefully become a lifelong journey. No matter how far you choose to wander down this path, there is truly no end to the knowledge that awaits your discovery.

Each kit includes:

• a detailed step-by-step instruction booklet with great tidbits for newcomers to mushroom cultivation
• a liquid culture syringe of the Oyster mushroom variety of your choice
• a grow-bag full of organic, supplemented hardwood mushroom substrate, lovingly prepared, sterilized and ready to inoculate
• a plastic grow tent to keep things humid during the final stages
• a small water mister, alcohol swab, sterile needle, and an "Amateur Mycologist" lapel pin

The process involves inoculating sterilized mushroom substrate with a liquid culture and incubating it for about 3 weeks. Once it's fully grown, you will tend the crop as the mushrooms emerge and mature, and harvest 2-4 "flushes" over the following weeks.
